I’ve been sitting here watching it alternately rain and snow all morning and trying to convince myself that work is a good idea. All I can think about is what I’d rather be doing today (having a baby.)
I’m just really, really bummed out.
We had a false alarm last night.
I noticed a few times yesterday that I was extra juicy down below. This culminated with my husband coming home, my standing up off my exercise ball and realizing that my entire crotch area was soaking wet. I checked it out—clear, the consistency of water, odorless. My first thought was, “Wow, I’m sweaty.” And then, “Wow, that’s REALLY wet. What if it’s...

I honestly have no idea how I'm supposed to time...
My uterus seems to like to ball up for hours at a time and just stay that way. It’s not painful, which I guess is how I know it’s not really labor. It’s just weird, because it’s not like the contractions ever stop. My uterus contracts and stays that way for a few hours before loosening up again. =\
I’m guessing labor will be different?

"Come out, baby" showed up 10 minutes ago.
Yup. I’m already listening. :)
PS: I love Hypnobabies. Even if it doesn’t actually work, I always feel so good after listening to one of my tracks.

Because that’s what happened.
After being fairly calm all day yesterday, Isla decided last night was her time to have a dance party. She was kicking and moving all night…unless I was laying on my right side. Of course, then she’d get all snuggled up on her back on the bed, so that when I needed to get up to go pee, which happened 5 or 6 times last night, I physically...

Twice so far today, I’ve read comments made by Christians directed at non-believers stating their belief in non-believers’ inherent lack of value in our society. One statement basically argued that all non-believers are all corrupt, self-serving beings who can only be destructive forces (and that Christians, of course, are not.) Another stated that no matter how upright, successful,...
Ordered the "Come OUT, Baby!" Hypnobabies CD.

That action has picked back up again over the weekend, after my second internal exam on Friday. This time it’s a little pink instead of clear, but not really exciting, because I’m still pretty sure I’m going to be pregnant forever.
Also? I am loving the hell out of my exercise ball. It’s magical. I wish I’d known about this 4 months ago.

Doctor's appointment was REALLY uncomfortable.
My regular doc got called over to the hospital at the last minute. I had to see a different doctor, which isn’t a particularly big deal, but I didn’t really like the lady we saw and the pelvic exam she gave, while quick, was extremely painful. Like, there was nothing gentle about what she was doing.

Because there’s more fussing and fiddling involved, diaper changes are generally more trouble with cloth diapers.

So Jaimey and Amanda are the only ones due around the time I am? Who else? Due date for Harper is March 26. I highly doubt (along with many others) that she’ll make it to then for obvious reasons.
Reblogging this because I know a few of my followers are also due in March.
I was about to refresh myself on how many, so speak up!!
Oh, and I am due March 17....

As for the sprayer, I worry that installing/making our own won’t provide a strong enough spray. Am I wrong about this? Anyone have first-hand experience with that?
If you’re handy, you might make your own. I don’t think this is something we’d be brave enough to try.

I’M GOING TO BE PREGNANT IN APRIL!!!!
nineyearsandcounting:
Lucky girl! My baby was in a -1 position, 70-80% effaced and 1 cm dilated from 36 weeks until I delivered at 40 weeks. Having a bowling ball lodged in your pelvis is no bueno.
As everyone has continued to remind me, just because I’m passing plugs and stuff doesn’t really mean anything is certain. As my midwife was so kind to put it into perspective to me,...
Body odor changing in last few weeks of pregnancy?
nineyearsandcounting:whenrobotsreproduce:
I’ve noticed a distinct change in my body funk lately. It’s not any more or less unpleasant. Just different. Anyone else ever notice this?
Yes! And it took a while to go away after my kiddo arrived. Mostly I was insanely sweaty for what seemed like 2 months after my kid was born, even if the room didn’t feel warm enough to make me sweat.
I’ve...

Welp. There went a whole lot of my mucus plug.
About the size of two wads of chewed up chewing gum. Gross.
BTW, my husband hates the term “mucus plug” and requires me to call it a “baby stopper.”

Last night Kellen and I went on what will probably be our last pre-baby date. (Unless I’m still pregnant in a month at our anniversary. God forbid.) We went to see Beauty and the Beast at the Keller auditorium. We got all dolled up. We went out to a sit-down restaurant. We made the trek downtown. I was so excited, because Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie (geeky brunette lands...
